WORLD VISION FINLAND | THE UNREADABLES

TBWA\HELSINKI

Children in developing countries are the underdog when it comes to security, equality, safety, wealth and fulfilling dreams. Literacy systematically solves all of these problems. In Western countries, the ability to read is taken for granted when in fact 770 million people lack access to that basic skill. Without a personal touchpoint, the concept of illiteracy is hard to grasp. Because experience leads to empathy, and empathy leads to compassion and action, TBWA\Helsinki, together with World Vision Finland, demonstrated the experience of illiteracy through unreadable ads that took over not only major Finnish cities but also social media.
